This Masters degree is aimed at graduates who want to use creative practice to design, investigate and interpret urban places.

Urban Design
UWE Bristol's Masters programme in Urban Design is aimed at graduates who wish to specialise in the understanding, interpretation and design of places.
The MA is a spatial design programme which focuses on creative responses to particular places at a variety of scales - from the very particular to the consideration of cities.
The course combines design with theory and the analysis of professional practice. The course will appeal to graduates of design, architecture and urbanism; we also welcome applications from people who have studied the arts, humanities and social sciences.

The programme comprises four study modules, including a dissertation and design studio. Within the studio we develop creative, spatial responses to places; such responses range from architectural propositions and installations to events and other forms of expression including text and film.

Here, the programme directors explain the course in their own words. Do please contact us (see the "Contact" tab) if you would like to discuss the programme further.
